How WeirdSocks works

WeirdSocks is a catalog, not a shop. We don't hold stock, we don't take payments, and we don't ship anything. What we do is search the live product catalogs of thousands of independent Shopify merchants and organize the strangest socks we can find.

Where the products come from

Every product on this site comes from Shopify's Universal Commerce Protocol catalog, queried live the moment you load the page. Nothing is cached. That means the price you see is the price the merchant is charging right now, and sold-out socks disappear on their own.

What a "drawer" is

A drawer is a shopping bag that can hold socks from different shops at once — something no single store can do. Your drawer lives in your own browser, not on our servers. When you're ready, we hand you one checkout link per merchant, pre-filled with your items.

How checkout works

You check out on each brand's own website. Your card details, address and order go directly to them, and they are the merchant of record for your purchase — including shipping, returns and support. We never see your payment information, because it never passes through us.

How we make money

Outbound links to merchants may earn us a small commission on eligible purchases through Shopify's catalog program. It costs you nothing extra and it doesn't influence what we feature — our categories and guides are built by hand, before anyone is paid anything.

What we store about you

Nothing personal. There are no accounts and no logins. Your drawer and your favourites live in your browser's local storage. We count anonymous outbound clicks (which product, which country) so we know which pages are useful. See our privacy page for the full list.
